The journey home from yet another fabulous Shetaut Neter Temple of Aset Temple of Heru WINTER SOLSTICE CONFERENCE, RETREAT AND FESTIVAL, was almost as powerful as the retreat itself. In fact, the experience is ongoing…….

Wanted to take a moment to share some of the profound healing and reflections that have recently illuminated my life. These are thoughts and realizations that are allowing me to move forward faster than ever.

1. I was deeply moved by the hekau Nuk Pu Nuk Asar Asar: I am That I am Asar, Asar. The Teachings tell us to see ourselves as Asar, and to identify with his experiences and transformation. I began to see, and to feel, how each one of us is in fact Asar, that each one of us has been “cut up into pieces” by our relatives, society, oppression, etc. And that it is the loving wisdom and compassion of the Divine Mother that heals and puts us back together makes us whole,. In this instant, I was able to feel forgiveness and compassion for myself, and for all those that were involved in my encounters with violation of any kind.

 

 

 

Violence and unrighteousness occur where there is ignorance of the Divine. Cannot blame someone for being ignorant because society is designed to perpetuate ignorance. However, it behooves us to speak out against ignorance, unrighteousness, violence, assault, abuse, etc, and to stand up and seek Justice. This is Living For Maat.

 

2. Next I realized that when I feel doubt, fear, guilt, shame, etc. that is my Ego, that is Set. That anytime I believe that it is my own actions, thoughts, desires etc that alone cause a situation or person’s negativity into my space, that is my ego. Sometimes, I am being used by the Divine as a mirror. Sometimes, I am just in a place to serve as a witness. But no longer do I have to accept that I am “attracting things” just because I am shining light on certain issues. For instance, when people say the reason for the assault in August is because I started speaking out against rape in June, in honor of Tchiya Amet Day. Or because I finally spoke publicly about being raped by Neil deGrasse Tyson when I was a grad student at UT Austin in the 80’s.This is ludicrous!!! What I learned is that darkness is attracted to light, but that is no reason for light to stop shining. That is all the more reason to shine even more brightly! For awhile, I was trying to hide my light, to hide my truth. To hide from my Truth. But no more, thanks to a creep and a man that did nothing in August 2014, the end of my Chiron Return, I am determined to shine even more brightly than ever, to continue to speak up and sing out. Committed to End the Silence, End the Violence.

 

3. The third and probably most crucial realization follows:

Every single instance of trauma that I experienced happened at a time, place, or situation or relationship where I had received a “red flag” or intuitional hit that I should not be there, or not a good thing for me, but I ignored the message. Either I loved the person, place, thing, institution, message, ideal or potential, and was determined that I could endure no matter what.

So, my intuition says, “Warning! Danger! Exit Stage Left Immediately!!” and I say things like,”Oh, it will be over soon. I don’t want to inconvenience them”, or “Well, they came all this way. It will be alright just this once”, “He will change and I can help”. “It’s not exactly what I am looking for, but she seems nice “, etc. The Universe does the only thing it can do, and I unconsciously help, because I KNOW it is not right for me: CREATE TRAUMA SO THAT IT WILL END, I HAVE TO END IT, OR SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT.  Yes, each and every trauma that I have encountered is because of something like this.  Ignoring My Divine Intelligence, My Inner Guidance, My Intuition. I forget My Self and listen to Set, the toxic ego.

Now, for the years that I was ignorant of the Divine, of my Higher Self, of my intuition, I must forgive myself 1000%. For the times that Set was in control. and I foolishly believed that I knew better than the Most High, I must also forgive myself. As well as the individuals that were involved.

It is NOT about eliminating the Ego, or controlling Set, etc. It IS about PURIFYING the Ego, purification of Set, SUBLIMATING the Ego, so that the Ego serves you, rather than you serving the Ego,

 

The Correct Maatian Action for me to take is to continue to speak out and to help others to do the same, thereby seeking, and seeing, Justice in my own life, allowing me to see Justice in the World. This is my true desire: To see and experience Maat restored Upon the Earth in this lifetime.

When my daughters were young, we kept the Sabbath, we did major Spring Cleaning every year to be ready in time for Passover, the Full Moon after the Spring Equinox. When they moved away, I was unable to keep it up alone, especially the thorough spring cleaning in one month. So I stopped. After keeping this tradition for over 20 years, and then stopping for 10 years, I have decided to start again. There has been so much negative vibes that came in and out of my life in the years that I was NOT doing this! It is incredible to look back and reflect on what transpired during the ten years my family has been “cut into pieces”: 2005 is the year my oldest daughter, Monoah moved out, then Lluvia and I moved to Berkeley shortly after that. The rest will have to wait for the full length movie.

 

The most important thing is that I have decided to start again. And as you know, with HeruScopes, all the signs are off by about one month anyway, and it sure feels like the seasons are shifting, or that the magnetic poles have flipped. Therefore, instead of trying to get the entire house clean in one month, I begin with Sirius Culmination, January 1, and will see how far I can get, by myself, by the Full Moon after Spring Equinox. I began with this cabinet, taking out all of the dishes, washing the cabinet, washing all the dishes, then putting back the ones I am keeping. This will soon spread to every cabinet, every closet, every drawer, every wall, window and ceiling, every garden, until the entire house and the yards are cleansed and protected for another year.  I use lavender water, rose water, sage, sea salt, incense, sound like drums and sistrum. Again, it is about restoring order, setting boundaries, and maintaining them, paying attention to red flags, and leaving Set out of it, unless ready to serve the Divine.

STEP 1: Preparing for the Ritual

If possible, fast from sundown on December 30, and continue the fast until the end of the observance on December 31st. Practice celibacy, non-violence and truthfulness during this time.

STEP 2: STUDY

Become familiar with the myth of the Asarian resurrection, as well as the various aspects of the Goddess.”Give the offering of study time to the Goddess Aset”, the Lady of Wisdom and Healing Words of Power. Study the teachings, and resolve to put them into practice everyday. Special offering to Maat: “Observe the teachings of virtue and order. Strive to remain in balance in all things”. (from pg. 87)

STEP 3: Timing of the ritual

Have everything ready in advance in order to begin the ritual at 11pm wherever you are or which ever time zone you are located. This includes preparation of the altar, taking a bath, wearing white clothing that is all natural like cotton, silk, etc.and your own well in advance so that you may begin at 11pm.

STEP 4: Items to have on hand

Ankh, Water, Bread or Sweet Cake, Noise making device, preferably a Sistrum, Candle, Incense and Icon, for instance, image of Aset on Papyrus, or a statue.

STEP 5: Locating Sirius

COMMENCEMENT

1. Begin by sounding the noise making device at 11pm wherever you may be.

2. recite the following Hekau (chants or sacred words of power) As you do so, remember that you are invoking these cosmic forces with YOU.

Recite each hekau 4 times, symbolizing 4 aspects of being, 4 direction, 4 elements, etc.

“The prayer is directed towards the purification of the mind and body which will allow your spiritual practice (movement) to be unobstructed on earth as well as in heaven. It is a propitiation to the Divine that you should not be confined to the temporal world of time and space, and physical body and ego-self consciousness, so that you may go beyond the ignorance of ordinary human existence and thereby, discover the truth of your true nature as one with the Supreme Self”

Aset says: “I am all that has been, all that is, and all that shall be, and no mortal man hath ever unveiled me.”

3. Recite the following passage: (you can substitute the term cosmic forces or even ancestors in place of the term gods)

O ye gods who are still in the Duat (The Netherworld or the Astral Plane)
O ye gods who are in the abyss,O ye gods who are in the service of the deep,
We follow the lord, the lord of love.

4. Receive the Eye of Heru: May Life, Stability and Contentment be yours: Then reply,

Nuk Pu Heru. Nuk Pu Heru (I am Heru, I am Heru)

5. Conclusion:

The ritual just described should be carried out at 11pm.

At midnight, the readings should be concluded and meditation on Aset Maat NebtHet in the forms of Sopdu is to begin.  Sopdu may be  found by facing due south. Next look at the southern horizon and then look up, midway between the horizon and the zenith (the part of the sky that is directly overhead. You will see the brightest star in the area and that will be Sopdu, in the area and that will be Sopdu, just to the right you will see three stars. These are known as the belt of Sahu.

You may mentally chant the hekau of your choice or practice concentration of the Divine Form. Here are some suggestions:

The One Divine Self, manifesting as the Divine father, Mother and Child.

I am Aset

Nuk Pu Asar
I am Asar

Nuk Pu Neteru
I am the Supreme Divinity

Remain in this meditative state for at ;east 10 minutes, or for as long as you like, for as long as you can.

End with upraised arms and give thanks to the Goddess and invoke the hekau of purity.

Sirius Rising and the Dog Days of Summer

Good Sirius Rising! Welcome to the page of All Things Sirius at tchiya.com note: all blue text are links to more Sirius Knowledge and Sirius Wisdom elsewhere… Today is most auspicious for this post, being the first day of the Kemetic New Year. In Ancient times, the previous week is filled with fasting, ritual, and celebration in observance of the births Ra and of the children of Ra, culminating in the Heliacal Rising of Sirius,Sopdu/Sothis/Ast/Aset/Isis/Yemaya/Emma Ya/Po Tolo/Sigi Tolo/ Great Dog/Canis Major/The Great Wolf, and then the first day of the Kemetic New Year. I am getting ahead of my self, but let me begin by posting this schedule for posterity:

• July 13: The Birthday of Ra

    Sirius is said to rise over a different sacred center each night until she is visible from everywhere, sometime around mid August. When I lived in Texas, I always saw her rise for the first time on my birthday, August 5. Living out here, in a Valley in the Mountains, I usually do not see her rise again until the end of August. Please drop me a line when you view Sirius for the first time each mid-summer. I was taught that Sirius rises over Uganda today, over Kemet on July 23, and over Palenque/Olmec country/Maya on July 26, the first day of the Mayan calendar, or the Day Out of Time in the Dreamspell Calendar.

According to the Kemetians (Ancient African Egyptians), the reason it gets so hot during the Dog Days is because this is the time of the heliacal rising of Sirius: Sirius rises just moments before the sun, this is how we can see it. Just ten days before, Sirius was rising at the same time as the sun: we were not able to see the star because of the light of the sun. In other words, this is the time of year when we are closest to Sirius. The heliacal rising of Sirius was one of the most sacred moments of the year in Ancient Kemet and was used as the basis for beginning the New Year celebrations.

  SIRIUS FACTS:

• Sirius A is twice the size of our sun, while Sirius B is similar in mass to our Sun.

• In Chinese astronomy the star is known as the star of the “celestial wolf” and Tiānláng

• It is also Known as “sopdet” to the ancient Egypyians

• The conjunction of the Sun with Sirius were called “the dog days” in the past and thought to be the hottest time of the year.
• In the Northern hemisphere, the temperature is said to peak high on August 6th, (middle and peak of the dog days) and low on February 6th. Both these days are considered “cross quarter days” of the year, and occur half way between the equinoxes and solstices.

He asserted that Moo and her husband, Prince Coh, also known as Chac Mool, were the inspiration for the Egyptian myth of Isis and Osiris. Queen Moo was the eldest daughter of King Canchi and Queen Zoc.^[1] She was desired by her brothers, Prince Coh and Prince Aac. She chose Coh as her mate, and Prince Aac killed him in a jealous rage. After Prince Coh’s death, Queen Moo fled to seek refuge in the Land of Mu (also known as Atlantis).^[2] When she reached the location where it once was she found that the civilization had disappeared, so she made her way to Egypt.^[3] Queen Moo’s name was drawn from the Mayan word for macaw, based on the bird imagery in the Mayan representations of her figure.^[4] Le Plongeon took this as further evidence that Moo and Isis were the same figure, as Isis is often represented as a winged figure.^[5] Chacmool means jaguar paw^[6] and Plongeon believed the great cat was Prince Coh’s symbol.
